Bullying is unwanted, aggressive behavior among school-aged children that involves a real or perceived power imbalance. The behavior is repeated, or has the potential to be repeated, over time. Both students who are bullied and those who bully others may have serious, lasting problems.
Talk with an adult right away if you feel that you are being bullied. Have a conversation, parents and students, about bullying and ways to prevent it.
What are the different types of bullying? Examples... Verbal: Using language to gain power over someone.
Physical: Using overt bodily acts to gain power over someone.
Social/Relational: Making someone feel unwelcome or gaining someone's trust and breaking it.
Cyber: Harassment that occurs using technology.
Reactive:Taunting someone until that person reacts and then claims to be the victim.
